Alpine cattle descent (in Frech "Désalpe")

The "desalpe" celebrates the descent of the Alp

At the beginning of October, the herd comes down from the Alp. At the entrance to the village of Château-d'Œx, a parade is formed to accompany the animals to the farm.

Once there, the cows find their way back to the meadow located next to the farm. It's time to share a delicious soup and home-made cheese.
