Welcome to "La symphonie du terrain" trail!

from July to October (until 16 October)

This Summer, between July and October (until 16 October), we are offering you a trip to the top of biodiversity.

An educational exhibition in the open air, where you can explore nature, art, and education. We want to make people aware of these questions that affect us so much and are important for thinking about the preservation of our planet Earth. Everyone can marvel at the beauty of nature, the importance of biodiversity in our ecosystem, as well as the benefits for our health and well-being.

We leave from the alpine chalet Pâquier-Mottier and there are several exciting signs with two routes. Visitors bring along a touch tablet or a paper brochure.

This edition also has exhibitions of paintings from the artist Laura Chaplin and a selection of photographs from the monk Matthieu Ricard.

Laura Chaplin exhibition

You can appreciate the paintings of Laura Chaplin on the theme “Animals and biodiversity”.

Laura, granddaughter of the famous filmmaker Charlie Chaplin, does not deny her origins but has forged her own artistic path. She grew up in Manoir de Ban, the last home of her grandfather, now a museum called ‘Chaplin’s World’. Conscious of her dreamy youth, she wants to continue the work of Chaplin in her own way and share her happiness and joie de vivre.

While painting is at the centre of her creations, Laura’s creativity does not stop there. Creating a collection of handbags, designing watches, clothes, etc. Laura loves to create. Well aware of the importance of laughter in life, she has also written a book “The first step to happiness”.

Matthieu Ricard Exhibition

The photos of Matthieu Ricard (humanitarian group Karuna-Shechen) present nature landscapes from far away while creating a bridge with local landscapes. These are photographs which inspire serenity and altruism.

Matthieu Ricard is a Buddhist monk, scientist, humanitarian, author, translator, and photographer.  For more than 40 years he has dedicated his life to the study and practice of Buddhism with the greatest Tibetan masters, in the heart of the Himalayas which he photographs. All of the income generated by his photographs is donated to the humanitarian association he founded, Karuna Shechen, which has been supporting the poor in India, Nepal, Tibet, and soon in Europe for more than 20 years.
