« Hotel Innovation Award » – We want to say THANK YOU!

What a beautiful day it was on Tuesday, November 8! We are very happy to have been able to participate in this wonderful event organised by GastroSuisse and the Société suisse de crédit hôtelier. The day, which took place at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, saw the project Votre Cercle de Vie win the « Hotel Innovation Award ».

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all of you. It was very important to us to receive this award, as it is very encouraging for pioneering projects like Votre Cercle de Vie.

✨ We would like to thank GastroSuisse, la Société suisse de crédit hôtelier, l'Aide suisse à la montagne and the competition jury. Their support makes possible many projects.

✨ We would also like to thank the Suisse Tourisme organisation, which helps to make our country a benchmark for sustainable tourism. The values it defends and the communication on sustainability, launched in 2021, are key elements for our project, when it will open its doors.

✨ We would like to thank the whole team of Votre Cercle de Vie. They have been contributing to the project and supporting us for many years. Together we share intense moments to make this project a reality.

✨ We thank the Municipality of Château-d'Oex, Pays-d'Enhaut Région Économie et Tourisme and the Parc Naturel Régional Gruyère - Pays-d'Enhaut which accompany us, on a daily basis, hand in hand.

✨ We would like to thank the Canton of Vaud, as well as the competent people who have been involved in this project for the past 10 years. These people allow us to find together with our team, solutions to make possible the continuation of this project

✨ We warmly thank all the people who have financially supported the project over the years. The trust and credibility they have given us is beyond words. A project like this requires significant funds to move forward. A warm THANK YOU to all of you.

✨ We would like to thank the companies Vögeli SA, Groupe Grisoni and Romande Energie SA for their support as partners. A very big THANK YOU! We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Vögeli SA on winning the “prix bernois de l’entreprise”, category climate + energy. It is a pleasure to see that pioneering projects in the circular economy are increasingly recognised and rewarded.

✨ We thank the academic community, universities and colleges, such as UNIL, EHL and the BFH. Students from UNIL and EHL have produced quality work, around the project Votre Cercle de Vie and we are now starting a new collaboration with students from BFH, through the first course of the master cycle: "Circular economy and sustainability".

✨ We would like to thank our partners, such as the Next-Generations network, which is committed to the circular economy, as well as all the people and organisations who have accompanied us or crossed our path. They are all, also, true sources of inspiration.

✨ Finally, we thank the hotel industry, the hotels and the owners who opened their doors to us and allowed us to exchange with them, with the aim of conceptualising this project.

We congratulate the other two finalists, Bogentrakt Hostel and Habitat Lago Maggiore and wish them all the best on their way to success.

The journey of the Votre Cercle de Vie project continues. We are now waiting for the decision of the authorities of the canton of Vaud, so that we can go ahead with the public enquiry.

We hope that we can continue to rely on the support of each and every one of you to achieve this great challenge, because without you, we would never have come this far.
