Let me introduce myself: I am the Heart of the Farm, the vital center of Bovino. Within an elegant and natural hexagonal space, I am imbued with the sacredness of the flower of life, interlocking circles that embody the cosmic and earthly order, and the interdependence of all existence. My space is adorned with cultivated plants, and the cows bring well-being and serenity while offering their "white gold." My unique and unusual character makes me the perfect setting for art exhibitions, storytelling nights, product launches, and countless other opportunities for our most valued partners and site guests.
The animals, and by extension the stable, hold a central place in the entire project. Since antiquity, the cow has symbolically embodied femininity, nurturing generosity, and abundance, forging a deep connection with Mother Earth. Milk, this "white gold" generously offered by the horned cows, has a hexagonal molecular structure, mirroring the hexagonal layout of the stable, the true heart of the building.
The world of the stable is warm and authentic, with entire tree trunks serving as supporting pillars, infused with the sacredness of the flower of life embedded in the floor. All the cows face this energetic center of the building. After returning from the alpine pastures, from mid-May to mid-October, the cows find peace in this space, where they can rest on warm bedding made of compost, wood, and straw, while enjoying regular outings to the open air until mid-November. In spring, from late March, they can graze again in the surrounding meadows or we feed them with hay harvested nearby. During the winter season, the cows go outside daily to spend part of the day in the fresh air on their terrace in front of the farm. But like humans, depending on the weather, they are all happy to come back inside to the warmth beside their friends! The calves regularly reunite with their mothers to nurse, then return to their own play area to romp with the other little calves.
To ensure optimal air quality, plants are cultivated on the southern rounded side of the stable. This vegetation benefits from the warmth generated by the animals and contributes to purifying the ambient air. They help capture the CO2 released by the cows and filter the air, reducing odors. At the same time, they allow the animals to enjoy a green environment, even during the winter months.
The natural atmosphere of the stable, characterized by its structure, inhabitants, and vegetation, creates an exceptional setting for unique events such as product presentations, fashion shows, or art exhibitions. Lunches and aperitifs can be organized in the very heart of the stable.
In summer, when the animals head to the alpine pastures, the space is transformed into an indoor glamping area to welcome families. Parents can enjoy the comfort of beds in tents set up in the stable, while children have two dormitories on straw, each with 20 places. This environment is also ideal for school outings, allowing children to immerse themselves in a sustainable and educational setting.
